Glossary of Common Terms

A glossary of common terms.

Glossary

  • Automation - a sequence of nodes designed to achieve a specific goal, e.g. import data into a spreadsheet, increase the campaign budget or send a Slack notification about a disapproved ad.
    • Node - the smallest unit of the Kitchn.io, designed to do a specific function, e.g. filter data, fetch insights, or append spreadsheet.
  • Recipe - a standard template of ready-to-use automation. You can copy-paste a JSON template of any recipe and customize it by inserting your variables, such as Facebook Account Id, days to schedule an automation on, or spreadsheet id.
  • Integration - an API connection to an ad platform, tool, or software that allows Kitchn.io to read out data, make changes or create new objects. You will have the same access as defined internally in the settings of ad platforms, tools, or software that you are integrating.
  • Socket - a node’s sockets are the input and output fields. They can either contain data (blue/purple) or represent the trigger or action. E.g. the “Calculate Math Operation” node has three data input sockets: a (a first number), b (a second number) and the operator and one output socket called data, the result of the calculation.
